SMALL SPACE DESIGN RULES YOU CAN BREAK
1- ONLY USE SMALL-SCALE FURNITURE
Small-scale furniture is not only uncomfortable but also usually emphasizes that the room is small because it messes with the proportion of a room. Just focus on using only a few full-size pieces instead of lots of little pieces.
2- YOU CAN'T HAVE A DINING SPACE
Everyone should have a place to eat and entertain. You may not have space for a table for 8 but you can always find room for a table of at least 4.
3- DON'T USE DARK COLORS
If used correctly a deep hue can actual add drama to a room and enhance its features. It can create depth which makes the room feel larger but more intimate.
4- DON'T USE A PATTERN ON THE WALLS
Don’t be afraid to use patterned wallpaper in a room. The pattern tends to draws the eye up and around a room and can distract from the fact that the space is small.
