BUDGET FRIENDLY WAYS TO MAKE YOUR HOME LOOK MORE EXPENSIVE

CREATE "SMOKE AND MIRROR" ILLUSIONS

Create illusions - Using a large wall mirror in a room creates the feeling that the room is much larger than it is. Pair that with an area rug that is much larger than the furniture that sits on it and a neutral color palette and voila!

THINK FOCAL POINT

You can center the room by having ONE main focal point. If you don't already have one, you can try using some great piece of large wall art.

THINK MINIMALIST

Don't overcrowd the room with furniture or the shelves with "stuff". Too many knickknacks is no better than too much furniture. Less is more.

ADD DRAMA

You can add some drama to a room by either painting one wall a darker color OR wallpapering it. This is a budget friendly way to add more interest.

BANISH BOREDOM

If you love a neutral color palette then you can stop it from becoming boring by adding interesting pillows to a sofa or a bed. This can be done by a pattern or by color or both. This is not only inexpensive but when your mood changes, so can the pillows!
